Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Trip reports. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Organized. Reliability. Experience: Experience an asset. Support for newcomers and refugees: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees . Support for youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
