We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant/Law Clerk who will work directly with the Lawyer on an assortment of Real Estate and Corporate matters. *Experience is required.* PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS AN IN-PERSON POSITION, REMOTE WORK IS NOT AVAILABLE. Must possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Unity, Teraview, OREA/Lawyer Done Deal, Fast Company, OnCorp/Ecore and PC Law. This position will require extensive knowledge of Real Estate Law including maintaining and organizing files, managing and completing purchases, sales, mortgages, title transfers and severances from opening date to closing date, as well as reporting and billing. Corporate Law including drafting and filing Articles of Incorporation, Amalgamation, Dissolution, share provisions and resolutions regarding share redemptions, dividends and transfers, share and asset purchases and sales, corporate reorganizations, maintaining and organizing minute books and corporate database records. Candidates will be responsible for drafting all necessary documents and correspondence, managing faxes, emails and telephone communications with clients, banks, accountants and other law offices. Must be able to adhere strictly to instructions and work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, have strong spelling and grammar skills and willingness and enthusiasm to perform all tasks assigned. Candidates should have the ability to work as an effective team member as well as independently, have the ability to accept constructive criticism and be punctual and reliable. Candidates will also be required to assist with other administrative duties as needed.
