<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>MUST BE A CANADIAN CITIZEN W/ NO CRIMINAL RECORD - requirements for security clearance. </p><p>Permanent Resident (PR) does NOT qualify unfortunately. </p><p>***** </p><p>Position Overview: </p><p>Rego Salvage is seeking a highly motivated, organized and experienced Construction Estimator & Document Controller. This role is predominantly office-based, with some site visits for scope of work verification. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate estimates for civil, demolition, and craning work, while also managing tender documents and maintaining an organized filing system. We are looking for someone eager to grow their career as Rego Salvage continues to expand. </p><p>Key Responsibilities: </p><p>- Review tender documents to produce accurate estimates and bids </p><p>- Organize tender documents within our online filing system (drawings, specifications, addendums, emails, etc.) </p><p>- Maintain a tender schedule and tracking system </p><p>- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers </p><p>- Develop pricing using historical data and by sourcing materials and equipment when necessary </p><p>- Manage active job documents, including updating drawing sets, specifications, and reports. </p><p> </p><p>Requirements: </p><p>- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents </p><p>- Strong math and analytical problem-solving skills </p><p>- In-depth knowledge of construction costs and cost management </p><p>- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook), Bluebeam, and ability to learn new software as needed </p><p>- Excellent communication skills, particularly with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers </p><p>- Meticulously organized and detail-oriented </p><p>- Consistently applies Rego Salvage's estimating and document management procedures </p><p>- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines </p><p>- Flexible and able to manage inquiries from multiple parties with changing schedules </p><p>- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks </p><p>- Must have a clean criminal record; secret security clearance required and provided </p><p>- Must be a Canadian Citizen; required for secret security clearance </p><p> </p><p>Experience: </p><p>- 1-2 years of construction estimating experience </p><p>- Diploma in a construction-related program preferred </p><p>- Previous experience in civil construction is considered a strong asset </p><p>- Experience with hoisting, rigging, and craning is a strong asset </p></div>Company Description<div>Rego Salvage is a family-owned and rapidly growing company with over 25 years of experience.
