*Sheet Metal Fabricator (HVAC ductwork)* *Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret schematics, ensuring high-quality fabrication of metal components. This role involves working with various hand tools and machinery to build, assemble, and repair metal structures and products. * Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques & assembly * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints * Experience using various hand and power tools for metalwork * Knowledge of welding sheet metal * Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in sheet metal work * Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment *Responsibilities* - Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements. - Utilize hand tools, press brake machines, and calipers to shape and cut metal materials accurately. - Perform welding tasks using various techniques to join metal parts securely. - Conduct machining operations as necessary to achieve desired dimensions and finishes. - Assemble fabricated components according to engineering specifications, ensuring structural integrity. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. - Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during the fabrication process. *Qualifications* - Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred. - Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings is essential. - Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using various hand tools and machinery. - Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. - Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment is a plus. - Ability to rig materials safely for lifting or moving during the fabrication process. - Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
