Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Welding experience. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Attach components and adjust new farm equipment. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Service attachments and working tools. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Diesel engine repair specialization: Exhaust system. Lubrication system. Major internal engine repairs or overhaul. Installation and alignment of engines and machinery. Powered equipment repair specialization: Hydraulic-operated working attachments. Pumps. Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Hydraulic transmissions. Power take-offs. Tracked vehicle suspensions and steering. Wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering. Highway vehicle tires and wheels. Differentials. Brake system. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Overtime required. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
