Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: At heights. Confined spaces. Cold/refrigerated. Dangerous. Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Residential. Tasks: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted. Repair cracks and holes. Mix paint to desired colour and texture. Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls. Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings. Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging. Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces. Estimate costs and materials. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Load, unload and transport construction materials. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants. Equipment and machinery experience: Brush painting. Roller painting. Surface preparation experience: Drywall taping/patching. Sandblasters. Construction specialization: Industrial, commercial and institutional. Coating/application specialization: Fire retardants. Multi-color finishes. Paint spraying. Wall covering specialization: Wallpaper. Vinyl. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel.
