Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Manufacture. Tasks: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines. Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal suitability: Organized. Team player. Hardworking. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees . Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees . Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
