Skills Development and Employment ensures that people with disabilities find and keep meaningful jobs by matching them with employers seeking qualified job candidates. In addition, they offer support with assessments, rehabilitation and child and youth programs. *The opportunity* We are looking to fill one Instructor ? Full Time Permanent role in Sault Ste. Marie. *Responsibilities* * Plan, coordinate, direct and control activities and resources associated with service delivery * Provide effective employment planning with clients who present with complex disability and employment issues * Assess client motivation to work and disability related employment barriers and provide supportive measures to ensure individual success * Develop and monitor employment plans that detail steps the client needs to achieve vocational goal * Monitor and document client progress and intervene where appropriate to ensure viable and appropriate client/employer matches * Negotiate employment opportunities with employers and negotiate wage subsidy as / when needed * Provide follow up supports to employers, regular check-in?s and provide the necessary support, including accommodation support to ensure desired outcomes for both employer and client * Participate in the marketing and promotional activities associated with employer and client recruitment * Participate in the development of the job search training program * Instruct in pre-employment programming sessions including resume creation, cover letters, reporting to funders * Adjust the presentation of material based on client needs * Help the Vocational Team to assess client motivation based on participation in the training * Measure the client?s progress and provide timely feedback on skills learned, areas of success and specific action recommendations to enable further understanding *Qualifications and experience* * Bachelors Degree or 3 year Diploma in related field * Experience in job development, employer outreach and marketing; and customer relationship management; reputable experience in recruitment and screening * Knowledge of government and local employment systems for employment supports for persons with disabilities; Knowledge of private sector and labor market trends * Sensitivity to issues/barriers that people with disabilities experience * Well developed time management, problem solving, organizational and teamwork skills * Effective negotiation skills * Excellent written and verbal communication, sales and customer service skills * Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work well under pressure * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software * Ability to document, maintain records and assist in reports * Ability to communicate in both official languages considered an asset *How to apply* * Please submit your cover letter and resume by November 8, 2024*.* *Questions about working at March of Dimes Canada?* Whether starting or advancing your career with us, you?ll feel great knowing that you?re: * Contributing to our important mission: *creating real change for people with disabilities* * Joining a *leading national charity* with a history of impact and a future full of possibility * Enjoying *indu- LocationSault Ste.
