*Responsibilities & Duties*
* Inspects condition and quality of product prior to receiving; and reports issues to Manager.
* Manage the warehouse facility ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), health and safety and warehouse housekeeping is adhered to.
* Performs daily and weekly maintenance and cleaning as assigned by the Manager, including maintaining the cleanliness of receiving area and loading dock area.
* Verifies product identification and description to match the purchase order.
* Inspects product for temperature; checks all perishable and frozen merchandise temperatures and notes on the receiving paperwork before and while the product is being unloaded.
* Refuses any products/deliveries that violate food safety and/or receiving protocols.
* Verifies packing slips and delivery orders.
* Performs daily inventory by conducting physical counts, as orders are received.
* Coordinates with the purchasing/inventory department with regards to all supplies and product.
* Effectively monitors flow of goods and implements First-In First-Out (FIFO) method.
* Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times and transportation efficiency.
* Maintains a sense of urgency to all requests made by Manager to meet order requirements.
* Maintains a professional attitude and mannerism with all internal and external personnel at all times.
* Provides support to our other food service divisions as required.
* Demonstrates flexibility with scheduling based on operational needs, including working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Follows all provincial and local Health guideline with respect to food handling and food safety.
* Able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of as low as -25°C.
* Exhibits the ?What Ever It Takes? attitude to ensure customer satisfaction is met at all times.
* Able to lift up to 30 Kgs consistently.
* Performs other duties and assignments as requested.
