Calories Bakery & Restaurant in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is a fast-paced, busy restaurant with a positive working atmosphere and a very hands-on approach within its? kitchen operations. Calories is currently requiring a CHEF DE PARTIE to add to our quality reputation, high culinary standards, and to our seasonal rotating international from scratch menu featuring many local inputs. Successful candidate will assist in all aspects of the day-to-day operations and must possess the skills necessary to maintain our standards of culinary excellence, be a positive influence to subordinate employees, be able to lead and work as a team as well as independently. Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: * Line: assume all duties related to the specific shift's line requirements, prepare and cook menu items, ensure customer satisfaction * Ordering and Inventory: organizing, tidying and stocking storage areas * Repairs and Maintenance: cleaning and regular maintenance of kitchen equipment and work areas * Training: assume all aspects of training subordinate employees * Management: participate in general discussions relating to ongoing issues and strategy with owners and other managers. This is a full time, indeterminate position. You will join a team of professionals who are passionate about their craft and its traditions.
