K1 Speed is an international indoor electric go-karting entertainment company that has more than 55 locations worldwide, including 3 in Canada. *K1 Speed Canada is looking for an Assistant Manager for our Cambridge location* *K1 Speed Cambridge * Cambridge Center 355 Hespeler Rd, Cambridge, ON N1R 6B3 k1speed.ca *?Customers will never love a company until the employees loves it first?* *Job Description* The new assistant manager will work closely with the General Manager, Manager, Assistant Manager and supervisors to continue to make K1 Speed not just a great place to visit, but also to work. * Full time, permanent position * Approx. 38-44 hours per week * Must have open availability including weekends *Duties and Responsibilities* As an Assistant Manager you will be responsible for many duties including but not limited to: * Recruitment - complete interviews, new hire paperwork and orientations * Training - support our trainers. new hires and existing employees * Corrective actions - work with management team to track and conduct corrective actions * Cash handling - prepare tills, change fund maintenance and preparation of deposits * Customer service - work alongside employees to provide wonderful customer service * Safety - ensure that all customer and employees are following the safety processes * Policies and procedures - follow, train, maintain and update * Scheduling - help to create and communicate work schedules * Audits and reports - independently complete audits and reports * Marketing - promote K1 Speed using different methods * Employee relations - support employees as needed *Qualifications* * High school diploma or post-secondary school degree * 2+ years of experience in a management role * Experience with Google Apps including Google Docs and Google Drive * 3+ years of experience in customer service *The successful K1 Speed Assistant Manager is someone who is:* * Organized * Assertive * Able to make decisions in a fast paced environment * Strong communicator * Leads by examples * Continues to learn * Supports the development of others. *Why you want to work for K1 Speed* * Benefits * Extended health care * Vision care * Dental coverage * Vacation/paid time off * Discounted/free food * Free racing * Development opportunities *Mission Statement* * At K1 Speed we strive to provide our customers with an outstanding racing experience that surpasses all of their expectations. * We bring the world of competitive racing directly to our customer?s neighborhoods, offering all the thrills and excitement of an authentic racing experience using state-of-the-art electric go karts, and tracks designed with the safest and most protective barrier system available. * We train and coach our staff on a daily basis to maintain the highest level of mind-blowing customer service that leaves those who visit us feeling like a valued member of the K1 Speed family. * We never compromise on safety, and are committed to delivering a world-class entertainment experience by professionally and diligently maintaining our racing karts and equipment to the highest possible standard. * We maintain a safe, clean, professional and family friendly racing environment so as to ensure the health and enjoyment of our customers and their families.
