The following positions are open for applications:<p>EDUCATION ASSISTANT SPECIAL EDUCATION<p> CUPE Competition No. 5887 Location: District<p> North <p> Whistler Secondary School Effective: Immediately <p>Hours: 6 hours per day, for all days school is in<p>session for students (Education Assistant) Rate of Pay: <p>$33.69/hour (Education Assistant) <p>Duties & Responsibilities: Under<p>the direction of the Principal(s) and the general supervision of the Classroom<p>Teacher(s), provides assistance to students who have physical disabilities,<p>chronic health impairments, intellectual disabilities and/or social, emotional<p>and behavioural problems as designated by the Director of Instruction, while<p>supporting the achievement of stated programs goals and objectives. Qualifications: <p>Completion<p>of Grade 12 plus a special program and over six (6) months up to and including<p>one (1) years related experience. A<p>special program would be the Capilano University Education Assistant Program. Valid Class 5 B.C. Drivers License.<p>Knowledge of basic First Aid. Basic knowledge of related learning tools (ie.<p>computers, etc).
