The position primarily supports the Support Staff component of our workforce operating out of the District Facilities Centre. This manager will work closely with the leadership group of the Facilities Centre leading labour relations activities for our skilled trades and non-trades workforce who work tirelessly in keeping our facilities operating for our students. The position also works closely with the HR Leadership and is on the HR Management team.<p>Responsibilities Conducts and / or oversees discipline processes and investigations, including allegations of harassment, generally related to facilities staff but occasionally with other support staff, teachers and/or exempt employees.<p> Conducts and / or oversees support staff union grievances originating from the Facilities Centre.<p> When required, provides strategic advice to the Districts senior staff including Senior HR staff.<p> Supports all aspects of HR and develops positive relationships with the Unions, Associations, BCPSEA and other stakeholder groups.<p> Ensures appropriate interpretation and administration of the Collect- LocationSurrey, BC
