Bowker Creek Dental is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. What we would like you to have... * Certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program. * Current licensure and registration as a Dental Assistant in British Columbia. * Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality. * Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. * A passion for patient care and a commitment to providing exceptional service. What you will be responsible for... * Assisting the dentist during a variety of dental procedures * Taking and scanning dental radiographs * Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse * Serving as an infection control officer, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment * Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment * Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling) * Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth) * Communicating with patients, technicians and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies) * Inputting treatment billing codes and record appointment notes in our dental software (Tracker) What you can expect from us... * Bowker Creek Dental strives to create a workplace culture that upholds 4 foundational values including professionalism, communication, teamwork and fun. * We offer a supportive and collaborative team environment where your voice is heard and your ideas are valued. * We provide opportunities for professional growth and development through continuing education and training. * We want to support our team in staying healthy both mentally and physically and provide a comprehensive group health benefits package. * We love to eat delicious food, share recipes and laugh as much as possible!
