*Job Type:* Full-time/Part-time
*Reports to:* Clinical Psychologist/Director of Pediatric Services
*Position Overview:*
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Psychometrist to join our pediatric psychological services team. The Psychometrist will be responsible for administering, scoring, and interpreting a variety of psychological tests and assessments, specifically focusing on autism spectrum disorders and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents. The successful candidate will work closely with clinical psychologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and comprehensive assessment results.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Administer standardized psychological tests and assessments related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, and other developmental or behavioral concerns.
* Conduct psychoeducational assessments, including cognitive, achievement, and neuropsychological testing.
* Score and interpret test results under the supervision of licensed psychologists.
* Compile detailed test reports and summarize results to assist in diagnostic and treatment planning.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic assessments.
* Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments and results, adhering to ethical and professional standards.
* Provide feedback to parents and caregivers regarding the assessment process and any necessary follow-up procedures.
* Keep up to date with new testing instruments and best practices in the field of psychometrics, particularly in relation to pediatric populations.
* Assist in research projects or data collection, if applicable, to improve clinical outcomes.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (Master?s degree preferred).
* Certification as a Psychometrist or eligibility for certification.
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in administering psychological tests, preferably within a pediatric or autism-focused setting.
* Knowledge of various testing instruments, such as the ADOS-2, WISC-V, and other psychoeducational assessments.
* Strong understanding of child development, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in testing administration and scoring.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interaction with healthcare professionals and families.
* Sensitivity to working with children with special needs and their families.
*Preferred Skills:*
* Experience working in a clinical or educational setting focused on children and adolescents.
* Familiarity with assistive technologies and tools used in the assessment of nonverbal or minimally verbal children.
* Knowledge of relevant psychological frameworks and interventions for autism and learning disabilities.
*Working Conditions:*
* This position may require working in various settings, including clinics, schools, or home visits, depending on the client's needs.
* Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate family schedules.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 ? 15 per week
