*Job description and Main Essential Duties*
Tyne Engineering Mechanical Engineer. Strong knowledge of ASME codes and CSA codes are important. Extensive design background in pressure vessel and pressure piping experience. The ability to perform stress analysis of piping and components. Experience with distillation columns, particularly in cryogenics and vacuum systems. Effectively interface with other disciplines including process, chemical, electrical and electronic. Contribution to sales and good understanding of schedules, change notices, and status reporting are also valuable.
The Mechanical Engineer will be actively involved in all aspects of product sustainability and new product development life cycle.
* Responsible for the overall design of mechanical process systems and components.
* Developing drawings, bills of materials, test procedures, production, quality and user documentation.
* Analysis and interpretation of test data and writing technical reports.
* Customer and manufacturing support and troubleshooting.
*Must Haves*
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an APET-accredited engineering program with 5 + years of relevant industry experience.
* Experience in all aspects of new product development and product sustainability.
* Design and implementation experience with mechanical process piping systems, pressure vessels, cryogenics, vacuum systems.
* Strong knowledge of ASME codes and CSA codes are important.
* Effective verbal and written communications skills in English.
* Knowledgeable in the use of MS Office.
* Experience with CAD design.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills with a strong attention to details.
* Ability to work both independently and in diverse teams.
* We have a strict nuclear Quality System and an extensive Project Management System. The selected person will be employed as part of a project team and will be able to work safely and efficiently with others.
* Must be authorized to work in the Canada without needing sponsorship at time of hiring or in the future.
