_*Financial Analyst*_ *Company Overview* PakFab Engineered Solutions is a North American company with a world class team of packaging experts. We design, program-manage, fabricate, source, retro-fit, repair/service, and breakdown/recycle all types of packaging ? metal, plastic, foam, bags, bulk/standard bins and a variety of custom dunnage. We provide solutions to a variety of industries: automotive, industrial, alternate energy, electronic and aerospace. *Position Summary* In this role, you will be responsible to oversee the daily financial and monthly accounting close. This position will support the timely and accurate delivery of monthly financial statements and management reports, implement and monitor key controls, review processes and make recommendations for improvements and help in budgeting/forecasting. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, as the successful applicant will be working in a multi-company environment. *Core Competencies * * Communication Skills * Relationship Management * Negotiation Skills * Analytical Skills * Results Oriented * Professionalism * Financial Acumen * Time Management *Responsibilities* * Analytical analysis of cost changes * Support in the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements including working paper preparation, variance analysis and commentary * Internal and external reporting * Assist with budgeting and forecasting * Expense tracking and analysis * Ledger management, reconciliations & journal entries * Assistance with the preparation of the year-end financial statement audit package requirements * Cash management * Month end remittances * Manage timeline to meet deadlines * Coordination with multiple departments * Complete special project work as required * Ad hoc reporting assistance * Other duties as assigned *Requirements* * Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.) and working towards or possess a recognized accounting designation (CPA) * College/University degree ? or equivalent job experience and knowledge * A minimum of three years? experience in an accounting related position * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Accomplished multi-tasker with the ability to work on cross-functional teams * Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and a broad knowledge of the full accounting cycle * A strong analytical mindset * Outstanding organizational skills * Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach * Highly proficient with MS Office *Work Conditions* * Sitting for extended periods of time * Clean office environment * Travel to off-site locations may be required * PPE will be required if entering the production area *Why Join Us?* * Opportunity to work for a growing company with room for advancement * Employer paid benefits and RRSP matching program * Workplace events * Day shift; Monday to Friday _PakFab Engineered Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
