Elementary Itinerant LTO Teachers will be hired in situations where the number of daily absences in one school impacts safety for students that cannot otherwise be managed through internal school measures, to assist with prep payback, and for long-term absences that can not otherwise be filled by occasional teachers. Successful candidates will be assigned to a region, supporting a grouping of schools. Adjustments may be made to school groupings/regions based on system needs throughout the year.QUALIFICATIONS:Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification and qualified to teach in a minimum of two of the following divisions: Primary, Junior or Intermediate, in accordance with Ministry of Education Regulations.APPLY:<p>This posting is open to all qualified applicants, including those external to the Board.<p>All applications are to include a complete resume of experience, qualifications, a copy of your current Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers, practice teaching reports or the most recent performance review(s), and the names of three (3) professional references, (as least one of whom must be a current supervisor/principal, if applicable).<p>The only way that applications will be accepted is through Apply to Education (ATE). The Apply to Education website (applytoeducation.ca) will facilitate the submission of the above documentation. <p> Job Specifications <p> Location: <p> The Teacher will be assigned a daily assignment each morning at one of the schools in their school region by ADS, HR, or a Principal. Otherwise, they will attend the school on their set schedule that is part of their school region. The teacher could be assigned to a school that is not included in their school groupings/region in some situations for a number of weeks to cover for a long-term absence. <p> Rate of Pay: <p> $56,108- $117,096 annually (based on 1.0 FTE). A competitive benefits plan is available through a provincial benefits trust plan. <p> Effective Date: <p> As soon as can be mutually arranged to June 27, 2025 <p> Posting Date: <p> Monday October 21, 2024 <p> Deadline: <p> October 24, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. PA Days will be paid should the Itinerant attend required professional learning, training, or provide support to the school for the day.<p>All applications will be subject to a screening process and some applicants may not be granted an interview.<p>Applicants with a disability that requires an accommodation to enable their participation in the interview process should advise the Board when contacted for an interview. Any assessment and selection materials and processes used in the interview process can be made available in an accessible format, upon request in advance.<p>All new employees are required to submit an original Police Record Check (which included a vulnerable sector search) acceptable to the Board prior to the commencement of employment.
