George Spady Society provides a continuum of support services supporting people with complex life circumstances associated with substance-related and concurrent disorders and homelessness, empowering them to improve their lives through client-centered, evidence-based best practices. *Description of Duties and Responsibilities* The Shift Supervisor reports directly to the Program Manager and provides on shift leadership in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Centre. * Interacts with the clients in a caring, non-judgmental manner * Supervises and trains team members in their functional duties * Reports to the Senior Manager on problems arising with team functioning and occurrences of a serious nature involving clients * Responsible for collaborating with the nurse regarding medical needs of clients * Responsible for ensuring the lock-up of client money and valuables * Ensues that records on status of detox clients are complete and up-to-date * Coordinates with the Addictions Worker to ensure that requests for treatment are addressed * Supervises disinfectant, clean-up and hygienic procedures and assists with implementation of these procedures as required * Participates in general staff meetings and Supervisor's meetings * Compiles daily statistics * Provides written evaluation of staff members as required * Conducts shift exchange meetings with oncoming staff * Records daily attendance of team members * Delegates responsibilities to Support Worker II's * Any other related task or responsibility assigned by the Program Manager *Position Requirements* * Willing to work within the team concept of leadership * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of addictions * Demonstrated level of literacy and communication skills sufficient for job responsibilities * Diploma or Degree in the human services field preferred * Current and Clear Police with Vulnerable Sector Check * Current First Aid, CPR, AED Certification _*George Spady Society thanks all applicants for their interest, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.*_ *Equal Opportunity Employer*: George Spady Society is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion and recognizes that a diverse team benefits and enriches our work and is essential to our operational excellence.
