*Job Summary*: The Landscape Lighting Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of outdoor lighting systems for residential and commercial landscapes. The technician will work closely with clients and team members to design, install, troubleshoot, and ensure the proper functioning of landscape lighting systems that enhance the aesthetics and safety of outdoor spaces. *Key Responsibilities*: * *Installation of Lighting Systems*: Install low-voltage and LED lighting systems in outdoor settings, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing, properly wired, and safely installed. * *Design Implementation*: Assist in implementing landscape lighting designs, placing fixtures strategically to highlight architectural features, trees, pathways, and gardens. * *Maintenance & Troubleshooting*: Diagnose and repair faulty systems, replacing bulbs, wiring, or fixtures as necessary. * *Client Interaction*: Work directly with clients to understand their lighting needs, explain installation procedures, and provide excellent customer service throughout the project. * *System Upgrades*: Recommend upgrades or modifications to existing systems to improve efficiency, appearance, or functionality. * *Site Preparation*: Safely dig trenches, install conduit, and pull electrical wiring for lighting systems, taking care to protect existing landscaping. * *Electrical Safety Compliance*: Ensure compliance with all local electrical codes and safety regulations when installing or repairing systems. * *Documentation*: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including parts used, time spent, and system details for future reference. * *Team Collaboration*: Coordinate with other landscaping professionals, electricians, and team members to ensure seamless integration of lighting systems into larger projects. *Qualifications*: * Proven experience in landscape lighting installation and maintenance (1-3 years preferred). * Knowledge of low-voltage and LED lighting systems. * Familiarity with landscape design and the ability to interpret lighting plans. * Basic electrical knowledge and experience with wiring, transformers, and lighting fixtures. * Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment. * Excellent customer service and communication skills. * Valid driver?s license and a clean driving record. * High school diploma or equivalent; certification in electrical or landscaping services is a plus. *Preferred Skills*: * Knowledge of smart lighting systems and app-controlled lighting. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once. * Familiarity with hand tools and light machinery used in landscaping and installation processes. *Work Environment*: The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, sometimes in the evening or early morning hours, depending on project requirements. There may be periods of physical exertion, including lifting, digging, and working in tight or elevated spaces.
