A provincial leader in student achievement, Halton Catholic District School Board provides exceptional educational experiences and services to over 37,000 students of all ages across our 46 elementary schools, 10 secondary schools, and 3 continuing education facilities, serving the wider Catholic communities of Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville.<p>We encourage all applicants to view our Careers website for more information about our Board. <p>Position Details School Location: <p> [St. Brigid Elementary School, Georgetown <p> Effective Date: <p> Immediately <p> Salary: <p> $17.20 to $35.75 per hour <p> Hours: <p> Fridays: 6:00 pm - 8:30pm (2.5hrs/week) Position Overview Prepare and deliver language lessons, in-person <p> Organization and maintenance of the classroom, including maintaining daily log of activities, lessons and student attendance<p> Supervision of students during the 2.5 hours <p> Instruct students at various levels of linguistic competence <p> Adhering to and working within parameters of Board Policies and ProceduresQualifications Certified Teachers with qualifications in a second language are preferred<p> Must exhibit competency in the International Language of instruction and have a good working knowledge of English <p> Demonstrated successful classroom teaching experience, preferably with elementary students<p> Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with a variety of learners<p> High energy an excitement for teaching <p> Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skillsDocumentation Required Resume and cover letter<p> Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Screening dated within six months<p> Copies of certificates, diplomas, designations and/or undergraduate degrees<p> Two letters of professional reference, dated within the yearPlease be advised as a condition of employment with the Board, candidates will be required to provide the following documentation upon hire: an original Criminal Reference Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening, dated within the last six (6) monthsEquity and Inclusion<p>The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) is committed to supporting the development of a strong and equitable workforce, that will foster the success and well-being of our students, staff, and wider-Catholic school communities.
