Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for the position of an Educational Assistant based out of École Barrhead Elementary School. <p><p>The Division<p>Pembina Hills School Division provides education to approximately 3600 students in 16 community schools including two Hutterite Colony Schools and two outreach schools. PHSD also provides education to over 10,000 students from within and beyond our borders, through our online school, Vista Virtual School. For more information on our remarkable Division, please visit our website at www.pembinahills.ca<p>The School - École Barrhead Elementary School<p>Located approximately 120 km northwest of Edmonton, École Barrhead Elementary School (BES), is a K-6 school with approximately 640 students offering English and French Immersion. <p>Vision<p>At BES the purpose is to encourage students to Rise to the Challenge to be successful.<p>Values<p>Collaboration, communication, flexibility, model virtues, positive energy, strong relationships, safe and caring atmosphere - equality for all, respect and tolerance, socially appropriate behaviour, problem-solving, teamwork, uniqueness <p><p>The Position<p>The successful candidate must be a self-directed team player who is interested in providing support and encouragement to students with a diversity of learning needs in the classroom. Hours of work will be Monday-Friday at 6.25 hours/day following the school calendar. Duties are to commence as soon as possible and will end June 27, 2025.<p>Qualifications<p><p> Experience working with students with diverse needs would be an asset<p> Preference will be given to applicants with an understanding of childhood development<p> Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults<p> Must demonstrate ability to work as a member of the school team, taking direction from classroom teacher, special education lead teacher, and consultants<p> Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed<p> Ability to work in a flexible learning environment<p> First aid would be an asset<p><p><p>For further information, please contact:<p>Dale Erickson (Principal) at 780-674-8518<p>This competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.<p><p> There are inherent risks in the work employees do throughout Pembina Hills School Division (PHSD).
