Build a Future at the City of SurreyEMPLOYMENT STATUSUnion - CUPE Local 402 - Regular Full-TimeRESPONSIBILITIESSupervise and coordinate the activities of crews involved in HVAC trade work, including construction, maintenance and building control of City facilities and buildings. Assist senior staff with planning and directing work. Supports crew members in installing, repairing, and maintaining various (HVAC systems which include heating, ventilation, air conditioning, boilers, refrigeration and DDC systems. Performs other job duties as required.QUALIFICATIONSCandidates under consideration will have the following:Completion of Grade 12 and considerable HVAC related experience in supervision, building maintenance and construction. Minimum of 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate or HVAC related Trades Qualification. Valid BC. Driver's License with safe driving record. RCMP Reliability Security Clearance Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize, instruct, direct, and supervise work projects and work within budget requirements. Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain HVAC and DDC systems Thorough knowledge of building maintenance including standard practices, principals, techniques, materials, and equipment used in the HVAC trade. Thorough working knowledge of the ASHRAE Code and related codes.
