Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Dusty. Noisy. Dirty. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Interpret welding process specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines. Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment. Measure and mark sheet metal according to template. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Organized. Team player. Dependability. Screening questions: Are you currently a student?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
