*Job Overview* We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, showcasing expertise in food preparation and handling, as well as experience in supervising kitchen staff. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment. *Responsibilities* * Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. * Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. * Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training on food preparation techniques and safety practices. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation. * Collaborate with management to develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends. * Manage inventory levels, placing orders for kitchen supplies as needed. * Assist with bartending duties when required, ensuring timely service to guests. * Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, promoting teamwork among staff. *Requirements* * Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. * Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling practices. * Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff. * Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. * Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. * Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and management. * A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $16.55-$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 per week Additional pay: * Tips Benefits: * Discounted or free food * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person- LocationStoney Creek, ON
