Skouras Eye & Cosmetic Centre is looking for a Full time /Part time Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician. We pride ourselves on providing our patients with the highest quality medical care and that begins with professional and knowledgeable staff. The candidate for this position should be well organized, motivated able to multitask in a busy Ophthalmology multi doctor clinic and who has excellent oral and written communication skills. Applicants should have a minimum of 1 year work experience in this field and who preferably have completed a certified ophthalmic assistant course. Duties will include but not limited to: · taking patient history · testing visual acuities, Checking intraocular pressures with Goldmann & Tonopen, checking angles, colour vision, pupil assessment & EOM · instillation of dilating drops · auto refraction and lensometer check · diagnostic tests including Humphrey Visual field, OCT. anterior segment OCT, HRT, Topography, Tear Lab · excellent computer skills and able to learn EMR system · maintaining & cleaning equipment · assisting in set up of surgical procedures · inventory stock and management of lanes · ordering of supplies · assisting with set up of cosmetic procedures Flexible work hours with office hours between 8:30am ? 5:00pm Job Type: Full-time Salary: $22 per hour Schedule: Experience: * Ophthalmology: minimum 1 year (required) in field Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $22.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday Experience: * Ophthalmic assisting: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person- LocationToronto, ON
