The division is focused on ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed and has designated numeracy and student mental health and wellness as division priorities. <p><p>Northern Lights Public Schools invites applications for the following position: <p>S2425-31 Educational Assistant - Bonnyville Centralized High School <p> We are seeking a full-time (1.0 fte) Educational Assistant for the 2024-2025 school year. The assignment involves assisting one-on-one and in a classroom setting with student educational program needs, including social skills, behavior skills, self help and personal care needs. <p>Bonnyville Centralized High School is located in the Town of Bonnyville with approximately 300 students in Grades 9-12.BCHS is the first choice for high school education in our community as a result of their commitment to excellence in learning, the provision of opportunities for personal, educational, and civic growth, continuous professional development and growth as a staff, and a commitment to ensure each student receives the best possible nurturing and teaching we are capable of giving.<p>Preference will be given to applicants who have : <p><p> Post-Secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant<p> Knowledge and experience with behavioral strategies<p> Experience working one-on-one and/or in a classroom setting<p> Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with computers<p> Knowledge and experience in alternate communication strategies <p> Familiarity with strategies to address different learning styles and experience with Individual Program Plans<p> <p><p>Training and skills that would be an asset include: <p><p> Relative experience in educational assistance, nursing and/or rehabilitation<p> SIVA and/or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training<p><p>How to Apply: <p>Interested applicants are required to create and complete all sections of their portfolio through the 'Apply On-Line' link on our website, in the employment section.
