YWCA St. John's is committed to diversity and we encourage qualified applicants with varied personal and professional experience to apply.Position OverviewTitle: Manager of ProgramsReports to: Executive DirectorClassification: Full-time, term; salaryContract Details: Until March 2026; possibility of extensionSalary: $65,000 (plus vacation and benefits package)Hours: 37.5 hours a weekStart Date: As soon as possibleDeadline: November 11th, 2024 at 11:59 pm NST Position DescriptionYWCA St. John's is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Manager of Programs to oversee the delivery of gender equity programs and projects focused on youth, employment, economic security, GBV, and newcomers. This role leads program development and sustainability of project outcomes through partnership development, scalability activities, and supervision of YWCA St. John's programs team members. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager of Programs is part of the leadership team, working to ensure alignment of organizational vision, mission, and values in gender-equity and social justice in action. The Manager of Programs is skilled in supervising staff and supporting them in navigating complex participant needs, system navigation, and providing crisis intervention when needed. The Manager of Programs works collaboratively with program staff to ensure participant and community voice is centered and that programs and services are designed under a person centered, anti-racist, and trauma informed lens, maintaining a vision for a feminist future.Key Objectives/Primary DutiesOversee programs and services, developing policies and procedures to guide staff in providing interventions and support, enhancing participant's experiences.Engage staff in regular supervision and team meetings that generate reflection, growth, and development; provide ongoing feedback, guidance, and support to staff that ensures a client centred, anti-racist, and trauma informed approach.Responsible for program evaluation and reporting. This will include successful completion of narrative and financial reports to funders as well as monthly program reports to the leadership team. Reports and information sharing with project stakeholders and community partners where applicable.Ensure effective program oversight, meeting program deliverables and evaluate program outcomes through a variety of means, including diligent record management and use of ARMS to ensure effective data management and program reporting accuracy.Ensure adherence to program budgets and manage financial expenditures.Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures and ensure organizational values are maintained in program operations and development.Liaise with contracted consultants as necessary to meet project timelines and deliverables.Work with Executive Director to support in HR processes, including hiring, orientation, and management of staff (including identifying opportunities for staff development and training).Maintain community partnerships and seek opportunities for collaboration with community, government and other stakeholders that will strengthen organization mission, vision and values.Support learning opportunities for students where feasible.Support the leadership of organizational committees and special events.Respond to program referrals and inquiries while managing a wait list for program participants.Assist leadership team with proposal writing.YWCA is working on becoming client centered with a focus on collective care.
