Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Order parts and maintain inventory. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Perform other routine maintenance. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T). Powered equipment repair specialization: Cable-operated working attachments. Hydraulic-operated working attachments. Compressors. Pumps. Electric generators. Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Power take-offs. Wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering. Brake system. Security and safety: Bondable. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Overtime required.
