*Job Summary*
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, team leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant, maintaining high standards of food quality and service, and managing a team of hospitality professionals.
*Responsibilities*
Operations Management:
* Manage all aspects of the restaurant's operation such as staff scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting.
* Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and security at all times.
* Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, provide training, and address any issues or concerns.
Staff Management:
* Train and supervise staff members to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and employee development.
* Accomplish restaurant objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining staff.
Customer Service:
* Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
* Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, striving to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
VIP Program Service and Management:
* Develop and manage a VIP program to reward and retain loyal customers.
* Ensure VIP customers receive exceptional service, personalized experiences, and exclusive offers.
* Monitor the effectiveness of the VIP program and make adjustments to improve customer satisfaction and engagement.
Collaboration and Development:
* Collaborate with the kitchen staff to develop new menu items or improve existing ones.
* Cooperate with department directors and prepare reports of financial, marketing, supply, and other operation-related reports and plans.
* Develop strategic plans for optimized productivity and establish operation plans by researching restaurant demand.
Marketing and Events:
* Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
* Plan and oversee special events, private parties, and catering functions.
* Coordinate with the marketing team to promote events and new menu items through various channels.
Wine and Bar Management:
* Manage the wine and bar operations, including inventory, ordering, and menu development.
* Ensure staff are knowledgeable about the wine list and bar offerings to provide excellent recommendations to customers.
* Stay updated on industry trends and new products to enhance the restaurant's wine and bar offerings.
Continuous Improvement:
* Maintain high customer satisfaction levels in restaurant operations by implementing policies and standard operating procedures and determining and implementing system improvements.
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
* Oversee and manage daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the restaurant.
* Monitor restaurant?s performance and take corrective actions as needed.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
*Requirements*
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a related field
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
