<p>OSSTF - DECE <p>Comp. 24-489R2<p>Closing date : 2024-11-08 @ 4:00 pm EST<p>Designated Early Childhood Educator <p> Location: Cochrane Public School<p> Start date : As soon as possible <p>Vacancy Details: 1.0 (full-time, 35 hours/week) <p> QUALIFICATIONS: Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators<p> Must be fluent in French RESPONSIBILITIES: The DECE will:<p> Collaborate with the classroom teacher and principal to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that reflect the Full-Day Early Learning-Kindergarten Program<p> Co-facilitate play-based activities that allow students to demonstrate learning related to the four frames of the Full-Day Early Learning-Kindergarten Program<p> Effectively and efficiently observe and document student learning using a variety of tools and techniques to assist the educator in the assessment of the development of students<p> Collaborate with the classroom teacher to promote and maintain a healthy physical, emotional and social learning environment<p> Assume other duties/responsibilities specifically related to the functions of children and the effective delivery of the Early Learning Curriculum as determined by the Principal and the Superintendent of Education <p> ASSETS: Thorough understanding of the Ministry of Educations Full-Day Early Learning-Kindergarten Program<p> Thorough understanding of the developmental continuum for this age group<p> Demonstrated appropriate behaviour management techniques with individuals, small and large groups<p> Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills in working with students, teachers, principals, and families<p> Demonstrated professional communication skills<p> Demonstrated initiative, positive thinking, critical thinking, and sound decision-making skillsSalary as per the current OSSTF-DECE collective agreement Collective Agreements (dsb1.ca)<p> Interested Candidates: <p>Postings can be found on the DSB1 website at www.dsb1.ca and on ApplytoEducation at www.applytoeducation.com.
