This role will be responsible for both accounts payable and receivable along with all bank account management and reconciliation tasks. Other responsibilities tied to this role include gathering and organizing accounting data tied to the production of timely and accurate financial reports and supporting payroll duties and maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial and accounting systems.</p><p><br />Responsibilities and Duties*</p><ul><li>Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.</li><li>Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, government remittances, and bank accounts on a bi-weekly basis to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions in a timely manner</li><li>Actively monitor financial transactions and reports (inventory, POs, unpaid bills).</li><li>Ensure efficient functioning and documentation for all financial systems including receipts, disbursements, billing, bookkeeping, and accounting</li><li>Process accounts receivable and payable in a timely manner.</li><li>Handle payroll responsibilities working in close collaboration with our payroll provider ADP to deliver accurate and timely, bi-weekly payroll input including updated employee data and sharing reimbursable expense amounts to be added to paychecks.</li><li>Support the accountants in ensuring monthly, quarterly, year-end processes & claims are completed in a timely manner to ensure accurate financial reporting</li><li>Adhere to corporate policies and procedures for internal controls</li><li>Maintain appropriate files, reports, documentation, and data and proactively administer our QBO.</li><li>Uphold internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, budgets, and actual expenditures, including contracts, leases and insurance policies</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications & Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Post Secondary Degree or Certificate in accounting or business administration. Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.</li><li>Minimum of one year of relevant bookkeeping experience</li><li>Experience in working with multiple cross-border legal entities is an asset</li><li>Must possess strong verbal & written communication skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail and well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Demonstrated aptitude for working with numbers and tying data to business success</li><li>Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational ability</li><li>Able to prepare, review, and understand a financial statement.</li><li>Strong work ethic with a personal drive</li><li>Experience preparing government grants would be an asset</li><li>Ability to be flexible and remain calm while working with tight deadlines</li><li>Good knowledge in Quickbooks Online</li><li>Computer skills - particularly with Google Suite, Microsoft Excel & Word</li></ul><p> </p><p>We appreciate all expressed interest in this position; however, only the candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.</p><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p> </p></div>Company Description<div>TGL Electrical and Maintenance Inc. is one of Canada's leading National LED retrofit contra
