*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle freight effectively. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic maintenance and repairs on the vehicle as needed. *Responsibilities* * Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight to designated locations. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. * Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. * Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as necessary. *Experience* * Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). * Familiarity with automotive repair practices is preferred. * Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus. * Knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations. * Previous experience using forklifts or similar machinery is advantageous. * Candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety in all aspects of their work. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Experience: * Commercial driving: 3 years (required) * Driving: 3 years (required) Licence/Certification: * Driving Licence (required) Work Location: In person- LocationNepean, ON
