Job details
Supervise and engage children throughout the day including during individual and group activities, free play and structured play. Assist the Centre Director with planning and developing programs according to the interests and levels of the children. Provide care that prioritizes children's overall safety, security and well-being. Take active steps to identify and manage risks to ensure the safety of all children. Lead activities such as reading, telling stories, teaching songs and providing opportunities to express creativity through arts and crafts, dramatic play, music and physical activity. Guide and assist children in development of healthy eating, dressing and washing hands. Assist with administrative duties such as preparing reports, record keeping and attending staff meetings. Maintain child care equipment and assist with cleaning, sanitizing and keeping the Center in an overall state of cleanliness. Manage behavioral issues in accordance with established policies and practices with patience and flexibility. Follow all applicable operational policies and procedures. Establish collaborative relationships with children, parents, coworkers and RCC's Board of Directors. Assist with meal preparation. Other duties as assigned by the Centre Director.- LocationRockglen, SK
