*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. This position involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Spanish as a first or second language is considered an asset.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and sterilized.
* Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
* Provide chairside support to enhance patient comfort during treatments.
* Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
* Schedule appointments and manage the front desk as needed, including handling patient inquiries.
* Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
*Experience*
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Dental assisting chairside (must be registered with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants)
* Dental receptionist duties are considered an asset
* Scaling Module
Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix and Gold is required. A positive attitude, excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care are essential for success in this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 ? 40 per week
