*Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, particularly in sushi preparation, and will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. The Sushi Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring food safety and maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and organization. *Responsibilities* * Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and creativity, adhering to traditional Japanese techniques. * Ensure all food is prepared according to health and safety regulations, maintaining strict food handling protocols. * Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during peak hours. * Maintain inventory of sushi ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality while minimizing waste. * Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi items or seasonal specials based on ingredient availability. * Uphold cleanliness standards in the kitchen, including regular cleaning of workstations and equipment. * Provide training and support to junior kitchen staff as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment. *Experience* * Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. * Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations related to meal preparation and food handling. * Familiarity with various types of fish, seafood, and other ingredients used in sushi making. * Experience working in a high-volume restaurant setting is preferred. * Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
