Job details
Duties: * Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors * Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture * Organize toy materials to make sure order in activity areasSterilize bottles and prepare formulas (for infants and toddlers and if needed) * Perform housekeeping duties, like laundry, cleaning, and dish washing * Sanitize toys and play equipment * Maintain a safe play environment * Assist in preparing food as well as serving meals, refreshments to children * Ensure that parking lot and sidewalks are salted to ensure there are no slipping hazards. * Ensure that all sidewalks are cleared of snow before the daycare opens and kept clear through-out the day. * Clean the windows on the front entrance, exit and service center doors on a daily basis.Perform other related general cleaning duties * Stock linen closets and other supplies' areas * Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances * Clean and disinfect areas such as infant rooms, toddler rooms, preschool rooms, and washroom. * Pick up debris and empty trash containers * Report and store lost and found items * May provide basic information on facilities * May handle complaints. Experience: - Previous experience in facilities maintenance or cleaning is preferred but not required - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks - Good time management skills to prioritize and complete assigned duties within specified timeframes Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
