*Key Job Functions Include:* * Oversee the engineering department and ensure work orders are being released on time and accurately * Select best manufacturing processes and compose accurate instructions/routings * Consult with manufacturing, purchasing and scheduling to ensure accuracy * Work with operations team to design fixtures and templates to assist / improve manufacturability * Manage and control Engineering drawings, specifications and records * Assist with development and implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives * Investigate manufacturing quality issues and assist in implementing corrective actions * Work closely with customer / suppliers to clarify requirements and manage deviations * Assist in quoting new parts to support Sales team to secure / maintain partnerships * Complete administrative duties as required to help support the Guelph plant *Qualifications Include: * * Post-secondary education in an Engineering or Technologist related field OR equivalent experience working in a similar role * Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software; ability to create, edit and manipulate 2D & 3D models/drawings * Minimum 3 years? relevant manufacturing/fabrication experience including familiarity with manufacturing processes (welding, sawing, assembly, machine operation) * Familiar with manufacturing ERP systems is an asset (ie. Infor Visual) * Plasma/Laser nesting experience is an asset (ie.
