Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Mountain driving expertise. Professionalism in customer service. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Pay and receive payments for goods. Perform brake adjustments. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Bill of lading. Driver logbook. Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed. Tractor-trailer. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Large workload. Overtime required. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone. Hard hat. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Flexibility.
