Job details
Journeyperson Collision Repair Technician Role and Expectations Repair vehicles back to pre-accident conditions. Follow the Quality Verification Process through and accept only when the prior department has handled each step appropriately. When you accept it, you take ownership of it. Continue to learn and train through I-CAR and other sources of training to ensure youre up to speed with the latest technology and information. 100% Disassembly and Discovery of all required parts, pieces, repairs. Repair mapping for direction for rest of the team . Correctly load and label parts carts for ease of re-assembly department. Read all notes on file and document your findings for SGI, for us, for customers. Research calibrations, safe and proper repair procedures and proper documents for the OEs and for insurance company and our team. Mask, Prep, Spray vehicles and parts as required. Organize department for best flow and attention to our cycle time on repairs. Assemble vehicles, reading notes and ensuring proper documentation as required. Take photographs throughout the repair for documentation purposes for our insurance company. Clear communication with the team through the repair process. Show up for production meetings each day promptly with knowledge of what youre working on and participate. Work effectively and efficiently so that as a team we strive and hit 100% efficiency. Communicate with Admin team, for ways to improve your ability to touch cars more effectively. Mentor and train apprentices share your amazing knowledge. Work with each other to support and encourage and build team.
