Little Sprouts Christian Preschool seeks to grow its Guest Educator list. We are currently looking for individuals with Responsible Adult (RA), Early Childhood Educational Assistant (ECEA), and/or Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certifications. We also ask that all applicants have their first aid certification and a clear CRC and be willing to provide references. Individuals on this list must be available on short notice. Please see below for a brief job description of an ECEA: <p> Primary Responsibilities: <p> Communication: <p> Communicating with the Program Director any necessary information about children and/or their families. <p> Recording all information that staff need to know in the communications binder. <p> Including any and/or all incidents that must be communicated to families. <p> Check the communication binder at the start of the shift. <p> Being Present: <p> Assisting children with tasks <p> Sitting with children at circle time <p> Assist in classroom management and dealing with behaviours <p> Assisting with toileting, eating, and resting times. <p> Assist in the daily operation of the preschool, which includes: <p> Assist in performing a safety check <p> Water and Playground <p> Assist with daily attendance <p> Assisting in ensuring the property is well-maintained. <p> Assist with classroom cleaning <p> Collaborate with the Program Director and other educators <p> Adhering to Licensing policies <p> Positive Child Guidance <p> Ensure their certifications are up to date <p> Pursue professional development opportunities <p> Assist with monthly Fire drills and quarterly Earthquake drills <p> Requirements: <p> Early Childhood Education Assistant Certification with some previous experience (1 year or more) <p> A Clear Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check <p> First Aid Certification with CPR-C and AED <p> Love for Jesus and attending a church <p> Love for children and a passion for teaching <p> Flexibility in working with children, other educators, and the Program Director <p> Teachability and ability to learn from co-workers- LocationComox, BC
