The division is focused on ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed and has designated numeracy and student mental health and wellness as division priorities. <p><p>Northern Lights Public Schools invites applications for the following position: <p>S2425-20 Educational Assistants - Duclos School <p>We are seeking individuals to fill multiple full-time (1.0 fte) positions commencing at the start of the 2024-2025 school year. These assignments involve assisting with student educational program needs including social skills, behaviour skills, self-help and personal care needs. These positions require compassionate and energetic individuals to work in a team environment. <p>Duclos School is located in the Town of Bonnyville with approximately 400 students in Kindergarten to grade 4. Duclos School has been a proud part of the Bonnyville community since 1916 and has a rich history with long held tradition of developing mind and character in a safe, caring, and vibrant learning environment. <p>Preference will be given to applicants who have : <p><p> Post-Secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant<p> Knowledge and experience with behavioural strategies<p> Experience working one-on-one and/or in a group setting<p> Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with computers<p> Knowledge and experience in alternate communication strategies<p> Experience assisting student with self-help and personal care needs<p> Familiarity with strategies to address different learning styles and experience with Individual Program Plans<p> <p><p>Training and skills that would be an asset include: <p><p> Relative experience in educational assistance, and/or rehabilitation<p> SIVA and/or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training<p><p>How to Apply: Interested applicants are required to create and complete all sections of their portfolio through the 'Apply On-Line' link on our website, in the employment section.
