<p>SUMMARY OF THE POSITION<br>Reporting to the WESC Steering Committee, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for working both independently and collaborate with relevant stakeholder throughout the organization to ensure the coordination of all relevant departments in the planning and implementation of a coherent Psychosocial component of the second wave pandemic plan, for both Eeyou Istchee's population and the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) staff, including:</p><ul><li>Prevention of psychosocial impacts of the crisis on all staff</li><li>Health promotion initiatives in communities to better support vulnerable clientele</li><li>Preventive support to vulnerable clienteles </li><li>Maintaining access to psychosocial and mental health services</li></ul><p>The incumbent ensures that necessary linkages, supports, training, information and advice are readily available to community groups and CHBSSJB service providers to facilitate capacity development in the nine communities of Eeyou Istchee in the pursuit of continuous enhancement of Miyupimaatisiiun of individuals, families and communities. </p><p>SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS<br>Project Management: * Act as spokesperson for WESC & the Psychosocial Core Team;* Collaborates to the production of presentations and reports to support WESC activities; * Support WESC Project Leads in animating Steering committee meetings;* Lead Psychosocial Core Team meetings;* Discuss current issues related to psychosocial impact on territory;* Plan, develop and implement initiatives to achieve WESC 4 strategies;* Follow ups and updating on WESC Action Plan;* Contributes to the design, development, organization, distribution, up-dating and evaluation of WESC various processes & tools;* Contributes to the development of a Partnership with Miyupimaatisiiun committees;* Ensures human, financial, material, and information resources management and the general administration of WESC resources team.</p><p>Data collection: * Support in gathering data & updates collected by various department and stakeholders;* Review quality of care indicators and current performance to identify areas of improvement and possible solutions using cost to benefit analysis; * Follow ups on WESC funds and received requests for funds;* Ensures the circulation of information and intelligence to and from the different stakeholders (communities, the different CBHSSJB units, other Cree or First nation entities, etc.;* Presents updates to ERC and Executive committee.</p><p>Communications:</p><ul><li>Work in collaboration with the communications teams on an efficient communication plan.</li></ul><p>REQUIREMENTS<br>Education and experience:</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in communications, community services, public administration or other appropriate discipline;</li><li>3 years of experience in community relations.</li></ul><p>Applicants with a relevant combination of education and experience may also be considered</p><p>Knowledge and Abilities:</p><ul><li>Having a good knowledge of Psychosocial practices and the historical impact traumas affecting the health and social aspects of the Cree in Region 18 and include demonstrating understanding of the Ministry of Health of Social Services Quebec (MSSS) norm and standards, laws regulations etc, and how it works.</li><li>Strong knowledge in communications;</li><li>Strong knowledge in Cree Governance administration, James Bay Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA), Health Canada funding and regulations; </li><li>Knowledge of, or ability to grasp the issues and context that relate to Cree Nations professional services programming;</li><li>Ability to apply Eeyou (Cree) culture, values, traditions and teachings into programs and services;</li><li>Good knowledge of CBHSSJB programs and services;</li><li>Must demonstrate a good record of professional & personal integrity;</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and presentation;</li><li>St
