The following temporary<p>position is open for applications:<p>EDUCATION ASSISTANT - SPECIAL EDUCATION<p> CUPE<p>Competition No. 5901 <p> <p>Location: District<p>- North <p> Whistler Secondary School <p> <p>Temporary: November<p>8, 2024 to June 27, 2025 or Return of Incumbent, whichever occurs first <p>Hours: 6 hours per day, 1 day per week (Education Assistant) <p> <p>Rate of Pay: <p>$33.69/hour (Education Assistant) <p> <p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities: <p> <p>Under<p>the direction of the Principal(s) and the general supervision of the Classroom<p>Teacher(s), provides assistance to students who have physical disabilities,<p>chronic health impairments, intellectual disabilities and/or social, emotional<p>and behavioural problems as designated by the Director of Instruction, while<p>supporting the achievement of stated programs goals and objectives. <p> <p>This position will require the successful applicant<p>to deliver a higher level of care. <p> <p>Qualifications: <p>Completion<p>of Grade 12 plus a special program and over six (6) months up to and including<p>one (1) year?s related experience. A<p>special program would be the Capilano University Education Assistant Program. Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver?s License.<p>Knowledge of basic First Aid.
