*About us* We are offering a unique opportunity to run your own program in a fully licensed facility. Kidding Around Childcare is a licensed group child care centre in Powell River, BC. We can provide care for up to 8 children, ages 30 months to school age, per day. Kidding Around Childcare is looking for a qualified Early Childhood Educator. We are looking for a reliable individual who is caring and compationate. We are seeking a passionate professional who is able to create an environment that promotes self-confidence and social emotional growth. ECE Certificate is required. Wages are negotiable and highly competitive. Responsibilities: * Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children * Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest * provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity * Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits * Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor * Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Bonus pay * Retention bonus Benefits: * Paid time off Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: * Powell River, BC V8A 5K6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person- LocationPowell River, BC
