Job Title: Chef Overview: We are looking for a talented Chef experienced in *Indian cuisine *to lead our culinary team at our Bar/ restaurant in the heart of Calgary Downtown. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, creating innovative dishes, and ensuring top-notch dining experiences for our guests. Duties: - Supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking techniques - Develop and execute menu items that showcase creativity and culinary expertise - Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and flavor profiles - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards - Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events or themed menus - Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively Requirements: *- Knowledge of Indian curries and marinations is a must* - Proven experience as a Chef in a reputable restaurant or hospitality establishment is appreciated - Experience working with *Fusion Indian and global cuisines *is preferred - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff - Extensive knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and flavor combinations - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and communicate effectively with front-of-house staff - Understanding of kitchen operations, including food handling procedures and safety protocols Nice-to-Have Skills: - Previous experience in the food industry or related field - Passion for culinary arts and dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences - Ability to thrive under pressure and lead by example in a high-volume kitchen environment If you are a passionate Chef with a flair for creativity and leadership, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
