This is your chance to be part of a dynamic kitchen, ensuring the highest food preparation and service quality. As Kitchen Helper, you will be vital in enhancing our guests and customer experience. You will promote Jamaican Delight Cuisine to consistently meet and exceed Alberta Health Services ?Serving Safer Food? in delivering a great customer experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for: * Conducting routine cleaning of the food preparation area, dining and guest areas, kitchen equipment and tools, floors, walls, ceilings, gutters, hoods and other kitchen areas. * Maintaining waste by ensuring it is disposed of efficiently per their categories: compost, garbage, used cooking oil, recycling, and cardboard. * Maintaining the cleanliness of the storage room. * Supporting JDC?s sustainability commitment by adhering to waste sorting guidelines The successful candidate will have: * Minimum 1 Year experience working in a Hotel/Convention setting with medium to large commercial kitchen * The ability to stand for long periods, lift 50 lbs, and work in an environment with upwards of 90 decibels. * The ability to work independently and within a team * The availability to work mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends * A High School Diploma is an asset * The availability to work mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends *Why Join Us?* Jamaican Delight Cuisine is the proud subsidiary of M&A Spiceland, established in 2021.
