*Key Responsibilities*
* Manage the daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
* Oversee preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain Golden Sparrow's reputation for visually stunning and delicious offerings.
* Collaborate with the team to develop and execute a rotating menu of globally inspired small plates and seasonal cocktails.
* Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment and strong team dynamics.
* Ensure kitchen cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Monitor inventory, place orders, and manage cost controls to meet financial targets.
* Play an integral role in menu development, bringing fresh ideas and assisting with food and garnish presentation.
* Ensure that all dishes are prepared to perfection and presented beautifully.
* Help manage kitchen schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively within a high-volume, quality-focused restaurant.
* Strong understanding of global flavors, small plates, and unique garnishing techniques.
* Food Handler Certification is a requirement
* Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
* Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.
* A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
* Creativity and passion for culinary artistry with an eye for detail in presentation.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
