Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work setting: Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio. Tasks: Book appointments. Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences. Shampoo customers' hair. Shave and trim beards and mustaches. Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Dependability. Reliability. Team player. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Other benefits: Free parking available.
