Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Address customers' complaints or concerns. Professionalism in customer service. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Perform brake adjustments. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Trip reports. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Overtime required. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility. Organized. Team player.
